CITY CHICK MAGAZINE RE-LAUNCHES NEW DIGITAL MAGAZINE FORMAT, DEBUTS WITH OVER 50,000 VISITORS ON FIRST DAY
July 7, 2007 - The newly formed City Chick Magazine (www.citychickmag.com), fresh off switching to a digital magazine style arrangement from it's previous format of a weblog-style arrangement, debuted on July 6, 2007 with 55,657 visitors tallied, according to webalizer figures calculated daily on website traffic and statistics. The debut ranks as the highest number of traffic for a debut or re-launching website associated or affiliated with Digital First.
"I knew the masses would anticipate the re-launch and follow the movement," says Chuck Holliday, Digital First Strategies Founder and Principal. "I've seen this before with certain other projects with different direction, but never at this scale considering the circumstances. Basically, this is like a rush for that hot item people have been anticipating. We had only 3 days to put the entire project together, counting content, the website design, arrangement, and making sure everybody agreed on the final setup. The number figure is equally great considering it launched on a Friday when most traffic is half that of early in the week. We all still haven't even put together an advertising campaign for the project yet."
Adds Samantha Murdock, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of City Chick Magazine: "I'm just in shock and estatic. I'm appreciative that everyone supported this when we had less than 1 week to put things together. I'm looking forward to more good things to come with this project."
The official website for City Chick Magazine is www.citychickmag.com and is open now.
